LISA GERSTNER
Lisa Gerstner is a director, producer, writer, composer and artist. She is the International award-winning author of Earl Biss’ biography, written in cooperation with Earl Biss. She co-produced the feature docudrama “Openings -The Search for Harry”, co-produced and scored the documentary “Girls on Purpose”, and directed, produced, and scored many educational videos in the arts field, including a series of short films on renown sculptor, GibSingleton. Lisa has a Master of Science in Education Media Design and Technology, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Director's Statement
It was an honor to write Earl’s biography, “Experiences with Earl Biss – the Spirit Who Walks Among His People”. Having worked with the artist and the Crow people first hand as Earl Biss’ chosen biographer, I am in a unique position to relay the Earl Biss story as a documentary in a highly moving and meaningful way. A Biss film should go beyond simply giving information. It should reach the heart – as Earl did with his art.

Twenty-four years in the motion picture industry, Jayme served as a documentary producer and network TV camera operator (NBC), managed a Post-Production Facility in Toronto, was instrumental in the application of Digital Sound to Feature Films, and earned several nominations and awards, including Golden Reel and Oscar. Jayme has worked on numerous major films such as Field of Dreams, Lethal Weapon 3, The Thin Red Line, Die Hard 2, and The Bridges of Madison County

Dante Biss-Grayson is an Osage artist, poet, fashion designer, and veteran. As son of artist, Gina Gray, and adopted son of Earl Biss, he grew up in their studios as an apprentice and protégé’. JOEL SHUTE
An expert kayaker and back country skier, Joel Shute has shot and edited extreme skiing videos in Alaska and Colorado. A nature photographer, botanist and avid outdoorsman, Joel obtained a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and was Assistant Manager for Pipeline Solutions LLC, The precious son of director/producer, Lisa Gerstner, Joel passed away in an avalanche in Marble, Colorado on March 17, 2023.

Tom was sound recorder for the Documentaries “Earl Biss- The Spirit Who Walks Among His People”, “Girls on Purpose”, and the video series featuring sculptor, Gib Singleton. He mixes sound for the ECK Temple in Colorado. Tom has mentored under award-winning sound production engineer, Jayme S. Parker. He has a Masters degree in music composition and performance and played professionally in Pop/Rock/Jazz bands.
